Through the annual University Student Exhibition, Atlantic Center for the Arts honors the outstanding work being produced by state university art students and recognizes their dedication to the pursuit of excellence. The selection process for this exhibition begins with individual art departments. Department chairs are asked to nominate up to three full-time, degree-seeking students in any medium or style. The quality of work submitted in years past indicates that the departments provide the intellectual and creative direction necessary for students to push their limits, resulting in work that is unique in its singleness of vision. By identifying and promoting these emerging artists, Atlantic Center hopes to focus statewide attention on the high level of creative and experimental work being produced at the college level throughout Florida's state university system. The juror for this year's exhibition was past Atlantic Center for the Arts Mentoring Artist (2022) Ryan McGinness.

On Friday, July 10, the Sunset Concert Series will present local favorite Victor Wainwright & The Train at 7:30 PM in the Riverfront Esplanade across from the Brown & Brown Insurance building at 355 N. Beach Street in Downtown Daytona Beach. Victor Wainwright — 2019 Grammy nominee and seven-time Blues Music Award winner, five-time Blue Music Piano Award winner, and BB King Entertainer of the Year Award winner, returns to Daytona Beach! Victor's formative years as a bluesman began in Daytona Beach at 18, while attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and majoring in air traffic control. He practiced his chops at Angell & Phelps Cafe. Though his career began over a decade ago with genuine rock n' roll [censored]-tonk, Wainwright has broadened his artistic scope over the years to include music representing virtually every corner of the blues. Composer, producer, vocalist, award-winning entertainer, and piano player, Victor Wainwright is a raucous, high-octane, dynamic performer and crowd-pleaser with soul to spare. The Sunset Concert Series is a partnership between Al Smith Productions and the Riverfront Esplanade dedicated to bringing a new entertainment venue to Downtown Daytona. The venue is located on the manicured lawn of the Riverfront Esplanade and takes full advantage of a stunning view overlooking the Intracoastal. The sun will be setting as the Friday, July 17 Sunset Concert Series presents LOVESONG – The Cure Tribute and FIRST WAVE – in the Riverfront Esplanade across from the Brown & Brown building at 355 N.
